Rhoss expands its range of water‑source solutions with the introduction of the new MidiFLOW‑PI range, consisting of chillers and heat pumps equipped with inverter scroll compressors and optimized for the use of the natural refrigerant R290.

MidiFLOW‑PI is Rhoss’s new range using natural refrigerant also for water‑source applications.

Available in the T– High Efficiency version, the range covers capacities from approximately 15 to 45 kW and is designed for water‑source applications, both in new installations and in building renovation projects, including integration or total replacement of existing heating systems, gas boilers included.

 

The MidiFLOW‑PI range is available in the following configurations:

  • Cooling‑only units, available in 7 models from 15 to 45 kW cooling capacity
  • Hydraulic reversible units, available in 7 models from 15 to 50 kW heating capacity
  • Refrigerant‑side reversible units, available in 7 models from 15 to 50 kW heating capacity

An offering that allows adaptation to different system layouts and application requirements.

 

Main technical features

MidiFLOW‑PI units are designed for the use of refrigerant R290, characterized by a GWP value of 0.02 (AR6) and not subject to the restrictions applicable to fluorinated gases.

The single‑circuit configuration, with inverter scroll compressor and plate heat exchangers, allows seasonal efficiency levels of up to:

  • SEER: 7.29
  • SCOP MT: 5.56
  • SCOP LT: 7.32

 

Multiple installation solutions

The MidiFLOW‑PI range is designed to offer different installation configurations, including:

  • Indoor installation in a machinery room
  • Indoor installation in occupied spaces with ventilated enclosure
    Unit equipped with a refrigerant leak detector and integrated centrifugal extraction fan. The sealed structure allows refrigerant containment within the technical enclosure and, if necessary, its discharge through ductwork.
  • Indoor installation in occupied spaces with ventilated enclosure and external fan
    Configuration in which the extraction fan is supplied by the installer, facilitating the installation of multiple units (up to four) in hydraulic parallel, with a shared exhaust air duct.
  • Outdoor installation
    Unit equipped with refrigerant leak detector, axial fan, and open structure with grilles and louvers.

 

Operating limits and accessories

MidiFLOW‑PI units operate with extended operating limits, allowing the production of:

  • hot water up to 80 °C
  • 70 °C hot water with source‑side temperatures down to –10 °C in geothermal applications.

The range can be configured with numerous accessories.

 

MidiFLOW‑PI expands design possibilities for water‑source systems, offering a complete range of units available in different configurations and capacities to meet specific system requirements.
